Anorexia On The Brain
Anorexia is not a choice. Developing silently, mentally and emotionally, it is a brain intruder that slowly kills its victim from the inside. Difficult to understand for anyone which has led to conflicting information in our community.

The Outcome
Anorexia on the Brain is a 9 image visual representation of how anorexia affects the brain. Collated to in a format to express the journey of the silent intruder. The intruder, the blob, the anorexia has almost full control of the host who has barely noticed its arrival despite constant concern from the circle of strength. Showing the fight of becoming aware and attempting to remove anorexia's clutches, the images show a snippet of the eating disorder and the damage it causes to the brain.
Additionally audio was added, the internal dialogue our minds have and how this changes with the onset of anorexia. Voices fighting to be heard proved powerful as an additional impact to the project, allowing the audience to experience a different perspective of anorexia inside the brain. It is loud, noisy, conflicting, distracting and totally derailing. The audible aspect is called The Noise.
